Many churches who are committed to service and compassion efforts experience the need to sustain these service by building funding beyond their current budget. Many small non-profits get themselves through the initial organizational steps but do not move beyond the formation work to build resources. David Mills, a veteran of non profit development in the missional setting, will be forming a coaching group in September of 2009 to guide a number of organizations through the process of building essential funder confidence and becoming proactive and effective at securing funds.
If your organization is at that place where increased resources are a high priority, contact David at Compassionbydesign@gmail.com and reserve a spot in the next coaching group. Groups meet twice per month and using distance technology for six months. David has trained and offered support on this topic nationally, and has effectively secured substantial funds for more than a hundred organizations, formerly directed the National Grant Center and directly responsible for more than 40 million dollars in grant wins.

I’m interesting in learning more about your program to establish funding. We are in our ninth year of providing professional biblically-based counseling services. We offer to modify our standard fee to lower income households and over 50% of our clients benefit from that support. Our challenge is securing the ongoing financial support for this needed service. Additional money would allow us to re-establish a scholarship fund to further assist the most needy clients.
